This turned out to be a great driving trip. We ended up going backlwards due to the threat of bad weather on Sunday. We went to Cambridge then down Rt. 26 on Saturday, passing thru Athens and Circleville on Sunday. Had decent weather about 80% of the time. Probably tried to tackle too many twisty roads that first day with the trip to Cambridge and then on the Ohio Dragon. But boy, those roads were fun! I found out what warning light comes on for brake pads and Mark set a bug-killing record.
The hotel was interesting, but not modern. Kind of a neat place to stay, but next time, we'll spring for the upgraded rooms. ;-)
And even the ride back thru Athens and Circleville was good. Great roads and weather. Had a nice little hike at Ash Cave.

We'll be driving to Marietta for an overnight stay. We'll be coming home via Rt 26, the Ohio Dragon, one of America's 10-best roads according to C&D magazine.
I have 5 rooms left at the Laffayette Hotel in Marietta for Oct 12. Let me know (cozog@cozog.com) if you are going and I'll give you one of the confirmation numbers to hold.
The Laffayette hotel is in the middle of downtown where the other hotels are on a strip on the edge of town.
