Hello Todd
Well thank you for the hello, and it is a pleasure to make you aquaintance.
I do have one issue that i am trying to resolve, but to a degree am going around in circles trying to fix it, I have a CD43 heat unit C.D player and am trying to link it up with a BMW 6 C.D changer, but after much head scratching i have found my car has no i bus wiring and have had to buy the cable. ( it was a problem with the 98/99 models, they class it as a repair cable!!! )
As the head unit does not recognise the changer, I was wondering what port this cable should be attached to in the head unit, and how it attaches to the changer itself? ,and if i need anything else to fix this problem I know the head unit is i bus compatible, and will have the cable put in tomorrow, but am not sure which end goes where and into what, and indeed if i need anything else ?
I know American versions of the C.D changer are I bus friendly anyway, but will this work with non I bus compatible Changers, will it convert them by adding the cable?
hoping you can help before I go crazy trying to fix this lol
cheers
Tim
